Like my favorite book says, “as a man thinketh, so is he.” I love this scripture because it liberates me to recognize that I am who I say I am. I love that song by Lupe Fiasco “You are who you say you are, a superstar, have no fear.”
I find it strategically interesting that he would use the words ‘have no fear’ in reference to who we say we are….Did you know that 365 times in the Bible God says “Fear not?” So what are you afraid of? Why do we allow people, places and things to define who we are rather than being who WE say we are?
When you stop living behind the shadow of fear of becoming who you want to be and long to be, everything will change. Trust me I know…I spent many years of my life as a people pleaser. One day, I woke up and I realized that I don’t need validation from man and just like that, my attitude shifted and I began to focus on inspecting the Incredible so that I could become who I say I am, in authenticity.
